WEEK15 FYP2

Activity :

For week 15, i focused on doing my technical report and doing some adjustment on the blog and report on chapter 5 on recommendation.

Content :

The technical paper is in 50% complete. A lot of content will be added and continue through the progress. 

Recommendation :

Smart energy meter has its own drawbacks and advantages. To develop the project into more promising product, the project needs to be added more features using the same based system which is IOT from time to time. The improvement that can be added as a feature in the future is:

• In term of quality of the items, the items used is not weather friendly or waterproofed. The energy meter is rarely put inside of the house which means the prototype itself exposing itself that can cause dangerous incidents such as shorts. The material used can be upgraded to better material with waterproof will be a long lifetime product.
• Can include the development of energy measuring circuit at the pole of transmission line. This can identify the power theft locations and also the fault location and its type.
• The prototype was being tampered by direct soldering it to the pulse to get the pulse to the WIFI Module. As we all know, tampered energy meter is illegal by the government. The solution can be by using contactless sensor to monitor energy other than direct soldering to the meter.
• automatic billing system to user manage their billing system on real-time before the electricity bill getting issued by the government.
