WEEK 4 (FYP1)

Activity : PROJECT TITLE CONFIRMATION

    I am planning to make a prototype project.  First, i try to propose a electronics project title, Smart Automatic Streetlight using IoT. Madam Zunaini suggested that i try to improve and find other title since the title and the project is too simple and common. For my second attempt, i proposed Development of Smart Energy Meter with Theft Protection Using IoT. She impressed and accept my proposal and ask me to start to do some research about the project.

The title of the project : 

"DEVELOPMENT OF SMART ENERGY METER MONITORING WITH THEFT PROTECTION USING IOT"

The synopsis of this project :

• Energy crisis is one of the major problems that the world faces today. The best remedy for this is not the increase in energy production, but the effective use of available energy.
• Properly monitoring our energy consumptions and can avoid energy wastage, energy crisis can be reduced to a certain extent
•  Smart Energy meter is a device fixed on top of the regular household poewr meter that provides detailed information about the electricity usage. Modern power meter have LED blinking every time a watt-hour is used.
• Smart energy meter detects these flashes using a interrupt, counts them, then the date is stored to the cloud using IoT.
